This painting was created in 2011 and is inspired by my grandmother, Ethel Jo. She was an amazing artist and a huge reason why I am artistic too. After she passed away, while I was in art college, I was graduating and had her on my mind. A friend of mine randomly picked up some flowers, tiger lilies, that was one of my grandmother’s favorite flowers. Years later, I found some old artwork of hers, and there was a beautiful painting of a tiger lily. I feel her all the time when I paint and will continue to paint tiger lilies in memory of her.
